I first started my journey into stand up comedy with the BBC1 NI TV show, 'Find Me The Funny' where I was taught how to do the funny haha thing by the awesome and wonderful Kurtis Matthews of the San Francisco Comedy School of Stand Up. After putting me through my paces, I made it to the Edinburgh Festival to perform at a sold out Teviot Hall!
Since then I haven't looked back as one of the only outspoken gay comediens in Northern Ireland today, having talked about my life through my stand up from Lurgan to the Ulster Hall. I have recently been in the film debut 'Cup cake' by Colin McIvor which has had rave reviews at the Belfast Film Festival 2010.
Currently I am in the running for UK Funny Woman competition, doing gigs in London, Dublin and more dates still coming in, 2010 sees the begining of something great coming this way and I hope you are all there to watch it, because the support of fans and friends are the reason I have even made it this far....Keep supporting local comedy wherever you are. Love to all.Gem x
